The Naples Pulse Weekly
Curated local events for Naples, by interest
Good morning, Naples.
The holiday weekend is here, and the week still has a clean Naples shape: a Saturday morning parade through downtown, fireworks over the Gulf that night, Les Miserables at The Naples Players, FC Naples at home on Friday, and enough brunch, rooftop music, food-tour, flea-market, and water-view options to keep visiting family busy without overcomplicating the weekend.
This week's big picture: July 4 is the anchor, Les Miserables is the strongest theater plan, FC Naples gives Friday night some local energy, and the best daytime moves are early, shaded, on the water, or built around a good table.
If you only make one plan, make it the July 4 parade and fireworks. If you are hosting family or grandkids, use the food tours, cruises, brunches, and quick-pick sections as your easy long-weekend menu.

This Week's Headliner
City of Naples 4th of July Parade and Fireworks
Saturday, July 4 | Parade 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM, fireworks about 9:00 PM | Downtown Naples and City beaches
Naples gets the holiday right this year with a full day that is easy to understand: parade in the morning, beach and family time in the middle, fireworks over the Gulf at night.
The parade begins at 3rd Street South and 5th Avenue South, then heads east on 5th Avenue South and turns south onto 8th Street South, ending near City Hall. The City notes this is a new parade route, and spectators should not sit along 3rd Street South because that area is being used for staging.
The fireworks are scheduled for about 9:00 PM and can be viewed from all City of Naples beaches. Because of pier construction, the fireworks are launching from a barge offshore near 5th Avenue South instead of the usual pier setup.
